The main two reasons behind this site is to creeate a record of my personal 'Porsche owners experience' so far, and to serve as a warning
for people who might be concidering purchase of a Porsche 911.
A Brief History.
About a year ago I bought a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera S from Beverly Hills Porsche for about 97 thousand dollars. I got a six and a half thousand dollars discount, which at the time (pre-financial crisis) seemed like a good deal. I was happy. For about an hour. Then one of the many problems came to light, literally. When I turned on the headlights on one of the many buttons that litter the audio/navigation system illuminated less brightly than the others. Now, I know that this is a small problem but it was an omen and it did pose an interesting question. If porsche quality control missed one simple and very visible button, what else did they fail to notice? In my case the next thing that escaped them was the lack of freon in the air conditioning system. It got worse from there.
Below is a small intractive picture that indicates a number of faults I encountered so far. Perhaps I am just unlucky, perhaps a normal owners experience with his or her Porsche is different, but I am guessing that I am not the only one. Anyways, mouse over the circles and give a thought to the fact that if you are in a market for a Porsche that this can happen to you.
